Letters to Abigail: Happy Nine Months!!

Dear Abigail,

Happy 9 months!! It is simply not possible to express how much we love you and how much JOY you bring to our lives.

You are still a wonderful baby - although you can definitely give us some looks and make some faces, ha! You are always happy and very curious.

You currently weigh 22 pounds, 4 ounces and are 29.5 inches long. You rank in the 90% percentile for both and are 'growing to scale' and proportionately. You wear a size 4 diaper, 12 month clothes and size 3.5 to 4 shoe.

You are a champion sleeper. You go to bed around 8:30 p.m. and wake around 6:30 a.m. You don't cry when we put you to bed - you give us a huge grin, turn your head to the side, snuggle with your lovey and go to sleep. It is simply precious.

Most nights I want you to sleep with me so we can snuggle but I know neither of us would sleep well. Every night, Daddy and I watch you sleep on the monitor and our hearts are overwhelmed with love and affection.

You are a champion eater too. You love everything. I make all of your food and it seems to be working really well for us. You have one 8 oz bottle when you wake up, a serving of fruit and cereal/oatmeal and one 6 oz bottle around 11:00 a.m., a serving of veggies and one 6 oz bottle around 4:00 p.m. and a serving of veggies and one 6 oz bottle around 8:00 p.m.

Our days of limited mobility are over - you are a busy body! You are crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything and busy exploring the world. Some of your favorite items are: balls, remotes, cell phones, cords, your piano and your diaper bag.

You are starting to wave (hello and goodbye) and have muttered a few words (sounds). You babble a lot and clap your hands, but you only do these things when you want (not when we ask you too).

Your Grandpa started a trick with you that is one of our favorite things to do right now. If we hold a finger about 2 inches from your lips, you will lean forward and make motoring noises as we move our finger up and down. It's really funny.

You and Daddy have yelling contests. It's quite amusing to hear the shrieks. And you still love Daisy. She always makes you smile and laugh.

We are trying to teach you the meaning of 'NO.' Sometimes I think you understand and other times I think you understand but pretend that you don't.

And sometimes you get upset.
It's very rare but you can get mad.

We cherish every moment with you. I am your biggest fan and love you unconditionally.
Happy 9 Months, Abigail!

Love,
Mommy & Daddy
